Paint & Sip 2025: Brushes, Beverages, and Bold Creative Choices
If October had a personality, it would be “a little artsy, a little chaotic, and fully committed to the vibe.” And this year, we leaned all the way in.
The Aware Ads crew headed to Paint Cabin in downtown Toronto, where things got creative fast. Aprons on, brushes in hand, drinks within reach—this wasn’t about perfection, it was about expression (and maybe a bit of friendly comparison).
The space set the tone right away. Neon signs, long communal tables, and just enough background buzz to make every masterpiece feel important. Or at least… confidently attempted.
🎨 Art… but Make It Personal
Once the painting started, things got interesting.
Some came in with a plan. Others discovered their “style” halfway through. And a few fully embraced abstract without meaning to. From pandas and penguins to flowers, books, and… whatever category some of those designs fall into—it was a full spectrum of creativity.
And then there were the tote bags.
Custom, hand-painted, and instantly a reflection of each person behind them. Some were detailed, some were minimal, and some were clearly fueled by a second drink (no judgment).
🍷 Snacks, Sips, and Solid Vibes
Between brush strokes, there were drinks flowing, snacks disappearing, and plenty of side conversations happening across the tables. It had that perfect mix of focus and distraction—just enough concentration to paint something recognizable, and just enough chaos to keep it fun.
And of course, no shortage of photo ops. Finished totes held up proudly, mid-process shots, and a few “before it went wrong” moments captured for history.
By the end of the night, the tables were covered in completed pieces—each one completely different, and somehow all very on-brand.
No winners, no rankings—just a collection of creative efforts, questionable proportions, and a lot of laughs.
Big thanks to everyone who showed up ready to paint, experiment, and fully commit to whatever that sketch turned into.
Here’s to more creativity, more questionable proportions, and maybe next time… a more accurate Zoya.
