Another Year, Another Jays Game: Oasis Takes on the Mets
Our annual Jays game tradition was back in full swing on September 11, and while the outcome wasn’t in our favor, the experience was as memorable as ever. The game had everyone on the edge of their seats, with Bowden Francis pitching a no-hitter into the ninth inning. The Jays clung to a 1-0 lead for most of the game, but in a shocking turn of events, the Mets exploded with six runs in the final frame, leaving the Jays with a 6-2 loss.
Despite the outcome, the night was all about great company, plenty of food, and lots of good fun. The Oasis team filled the stands with laughter, catching up with coworkers while placing some friendly bets on how the game would unfold. From debating who would score the next run to predicting the final score, the competitive spirit was alive.
As the drinks kept coming and the snacks kept disappearing, the real victory of the night was spending time together, unwinding, and enjoying the game regardless of the score. The Mets may have taken the win, but the Oasis crew knows how to turn any game into a great time. Until next year, Jays—let’s hope you bring home a W next time around!
